Night School Confidential!

Someone needs a holiday. Maybe a sabbatical, come to think of it.

The Bourn-Vita is made by Cadbury's - does that mean it's like a chocolate bar? They say you "sleep sweeter," so it must be. That would be great, wouldn't it? As long as it didn't have a messy caramel filling, because that tends to get on the sheets. And the globe. And her notes. And then she'd probably want to get up and run the washing machine. Which would defeat the purpose of the Bourn-Vita.

I just want to know whether her husband is sitting at the little molded chair-desk she has in the bedroom, taking notes and trying to look interested. He'd better - there's going to be a pop quiz at 2:30, just before math class.

Many thanks to Amy for the ad, from the New Zealand women's magazine My Home (1955).

I seem to remember Bournevita was some sickly hot-chocolate malt concoction. It was a bit gritty. Yeuch!

It sounds nasty. And it's really sneaky having it made by Cadbury's. Does a rabbit deliver it to your door, though, I wonder?

I hope she takes all that stuff off the bed before she takes her Bourn-Vita. Otherwise, she'll end up with a crick in her neck and lines on her face from sleeping on her globe, pointer, and books! LOL

Eat sugar before bed. Helps you sleep. Hmmmm.

ha ha good to know you could use those ads :-)
yeah I wonder why she needs bournvita to get a good nights sleep? Maybe I could send her my 3 kids, that'd tire her out in no time.

Tiggy - Oh, it really was chocolate! I didn't know...It sounds sort of like Ovaltine, which we did have around and I liked it. Although i can tell you Ovaltine does nothing for insomnia...

Tori - Depends on whether the rabbit needs an A in your class, I guess.

Hairball - Yeah, it's a bit crowded over on her side of the bed. All she needs is a Bed-Lamp Radio.

Max - That's a good point, sugar will get her spinning around the room, like a - like a globe, that's what.

Amy - They are terrific, I am definitely going to use them - it sort of depends on what inspires me day to day. And yes, all she needs is some extra kids, and some dishes to do, and I might send her my laundry too, that works for me! :)

Sometimes I feel like that there lady with homeschooling. My son loves to do his school work at night. Although 2 am certainly would be pushing it. Oh how he'd love that. I bet he'd buy me a case of that bournvita. Doesn't sound like it tastes very good though.

The thought of the caramel all over her notes just conjurs up images of Chevy Chase with sap on his hands, trying to read a magazine and turn off the bedside lamp.

Maybe if she'd take off her glasses and get all that junk off the bed she'd be able to sleep.

She was one of my teachers at Bayside High School.

Kris - We are all night owls too, so I kind of understand this lady. I used to write papers at 2 am in college, too.

Heather - LOL!

feefifoto - It wouldn't hurt, would it?

Bill - Now you know why she was so tired during the day! :)

Night owls we all are, ain't we.
I used to go out to the bars in college and THEN come home and do my homework. No wonder I didn't graduate Suma Cum Laude.

Kris - Me too! :)

Got to love a woman who brings a blunt object to bed.

Shay - LOL, yes indeed.
