The Tin Can Shopping Cart

Yes, the "little feminine member of the family" is going to enjoy a taste of her future adult life - pushing around a shopping cart made out of a tin can.  Do you think anyone ever made this? And if they did, would a kid actually take it to the store? You'd be laughed out of the Piggly Wiggly for that.

But maybe not. Maybe her poor mother is out there dragging a cart made out of an old oil drum or something.

That girl is definitely gritting her teeth, though. Can't say I blame her, do you?

I'll bet this gave Fisher-Price a run for its money.

You might be surprised at how much entertainment could be derived from sticks and tin cans when that's all one has to work with! ;)

Wow. Thank goodness for Fisher Price.

Pull it instead and it doubles as a suit case. I think you've got something there with the old oil drum idea. With the rusty ones children could play Look Out for Lockjaw.

Clearly she's about to kick the can in that picture. - G

Egads. The stupid inventions of the good old days...

Luckily, this one can be converted into a kiddie still with a little patience and some copper tubing. Moonshine-a-go-go! This little feminine member of the family will soon be the first one invited to all the birthday parties in town!
